Crude protein is 16%, compared with 12% in the Excel adult rabbit Mint recipe. That extra protein supports muscle and tissue growth without sacrificing fibre: the manufacturer's figure for beneficial fibre is 36% and grass meal is the first ingredient. The prebiotic FOS (0.3%) supports gut flora and dried mint (1%) adds flavour.
Every nugget is identical, so a young rabbit never learns to pick out only the tasty bits. Calcium is 0.8% and phosphorus 0.5%. The nuggets are a complementary food: hay or fresh grass should make up 85 to 90% of the daily diet, for a growing rabbit too. The manufacturer's feeding table gives amounts for both growing junior rabbits and adult dwarf rabbits.

Feeding guide
Complementary food. Daily amount of nuggets according to the manufacturer's table: dwarf rabbit 1 to 1.5 kg 20 to 30 g; dwarf rabbit 2 to 2.5 kg 40 to 50 g; growing junior rabbit up to 80 g; lactating doe 240 to 280 g; see the pack for the exact amount. Hay or fresh grass should make up 85 to 90% of the daily diet, nuggets are a small portion, plus a handful of fresh greens every day. Fresh drinking water must always be available. Change to the new food gradually over 14 to 28 days.
