A light plastic bowl tips over easily in a hamster cage and the food ends up in the bedding. A heavier ceramic bowl usually stays in place better than a light plastic one.

Flamingo Snuffy is a round glazed ceramic bowl for hamsters and other small rodents. It is 7.5 cm across and holds 90 ml, so it is a bowl sized for a small animal rather than a large dish where food sits for days. The glazed surface is easy to clean and the bowl is dishwasher safe. It works for dry food and for water; if you have two bowls, keep one for food and one for water.

The mint green shade matches the Djin hamster house, so you can furnish the cage in one style and buy the house and bowl as a set.

4 Käppa tip: not sure whether 90 ml is the right size for your pet, or whether the bowl also suits a guinea pig or rat cage? Ask us for advice.

Add Snuffy to your basket and give your hamster a fixed place to eat.
