Training calls for treats that come in small pieces and have a short ingredient list. Island of Pets fish treat with peas is a crunchy treat for dogs and cats, handmade on the island of Saaremaa.

The recipe contains sprat 85%, peas 12.4%, oils and fats 1.8% and collagen 0.6%. Crude protein is 42.8%, crude fat 21.17% and crude fibre below 0.5%; the energy content is 551.2 kcal per 100 g. The treat is recommended from 4 months of age and the pack holds 80 g.

Sprat provides the protein, while peas bind the piece and keep it crunchy. The handmade pieces vary in shape and size, so you can pick the smaller ones for a cat or a small dog.

4 Käppa advice: treats should give no more than 10% of daily energy. Reduce the main food by that amount. Watch your pet the whole time it eats and always provide fresh drinking water. Keep the pack closed at room temperature and out of direct sunlight, because the natural oil can stain textiles.
