Rats and mice are omnivores; the recipe includes chicken (4%) and egg as sources of animal protein, with dried cranberry (4%), linseed (2%) and salmon oil (1%) for skin and coat. Crude protein is 16% and crude fat 6.5%. Fibre and prebiotics (fructo-oligosaccharides 0.3%) support digestion; the crunchy texture may, according to the manufacturer, help clean the teeth. The manufacturer states that the food was developed with veterinarians.
The manufacturer gives about 15 to 20 g per rat a day; the exact amount is on the pack. A 500 g bag lasts one rat roughly a month by calculation. For a mouse, follow the pack instructions. Food and water should be fresh every day.

Feeding guide
Daily amount about 15 to 20 g per rat; the exact amount is on the pack. For a mouse, follow the pack instructions. Add a small amount of fresh vegetables daily. Food and drinking water should be fresh every day. Switch to the new food gradually by mixing it into the current food.
